The Rookie

The Rookie, is a television series that premiered on October 16, 2018 and set to air on ABC. It consists of 6 seasons with 120 episodes.

Starting over isn’t easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force’s oldest rookie, he’s met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis.

Season 1

John Nolan is a man in his 40s, recently divorced, with a son in college and a construction business. After a harrowing experience during a bank robbery, he decides to become a cop, and as the LAPD is one of the few forces to accept officers his age, he packs up his belongings and moves to Los Angeles. We pick up his story just after he’s graduated from the police academy when he’s been assigned to the Mid-Wilshire division along with two other rookies.

Season 2

John Nolan, in his 40s, moved to LA to become a cop after life-changing events. Season One followed him post-police academy, assigned to Mid-Wilshire with two other rookies. Season One ended with a Training Evaluation exam; all three rookies passed. In Season Two, they entered their final month of training, anticipating increased pressure and scrutiny.

John Nolan moved to Los Angeles to become a cop after life-changing events. Season One followed his journey at the Mid-Wilshire division with two other rookies. Season 5

Nolan as a training officer with rookie Celina Juarez. Harper and her husband move, welcoming daughter Leah. Lopez discovers she’s pregnant again. Bradford and Chen become a couple, and Tim transfers. Wesley faces fallout from his involvement with Elijah Stone, now incarcerated. The season concludes with Aaron Thorsen critically injured in a gang attack, orchestrated by an unnamed man with a mysterious plot.
